Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter, just softened
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups m&m's, (plain) chopped and whole, separated – with mini m&ms too, if desired.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a stand mixer, cream together granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter, and oil.
  3. Add eggs and beat until fluffy.
  4. Incorporate the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and vanilla; mix until well combined.
  5. Fold in chopped M&Ms, reserving some for topping.
  6. Using a medium cookie scoop, place dough balls on a lightly greased baking sheet and add 6-9 M&Ms on top of each before baking.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  8. For perfectly shaped cookies, gently press the edges into a round shape with a silicone spatula before cooling.

Notes

Chopping M&Ms enhances their distribution in the cookie for more flavor in every bite.
Use mini M&Ms for an extra fun look and texture in your cookies.
Ensure that the butter is just softened for easier mixing without melting.
