Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices thick cut bread
  • 3 Tablespoons pizza sauce
  • 8-10 slices Pepperoni
  • 2 oz Mozzarella cheese
  • 1-2 Tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Lay 2 slices of bread on a plate or cutting board and spread pizza sauce evenly on both slices.
  2. Top one slice with half of the mozzarella cheese, then layer the pepperoni slices, and finish with the remaining cheese.
  3. Place the other slice of bread on top, gently pressing down to secure the filling.
  4. Spread butter on the outside of each slice of bread.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat, place the sandwich in the pan, and cover. Cook for 4-5 minutes until toasted and cheese starts to melt.
  6. Flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until fully toasted and cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from the pan, cut in half, and serve.

Notes

Use a grill press to ensure even cooking for a perfectly toasted sandwich.
Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor.
Experiment with different types of cheese for a unique twist.
