Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ cups fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp red onion, or 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice , or white vinegar
  • 3 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large jalapenos, chopped
  • ½ tsp sea salt, to taste
  • ¼ tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or high-powered blender.
  2. Blend until smooth, adjusting consistency to your preference.
  3. Transfer to a sealed container and refrigerate until ready to use. The sauce will thicken over time.
  4. Drizzle over chicken, fish, pork, or vegetables as desired.
  5. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.

Notes

You can customize the heat level by adjusting the amount of jalapenos.
For a vegan version, substitute mayonnaise with vegan mayo.
