Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 6-oz salmon fillets
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup wholesome yum zero sugar maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Dry the salmon fillets with paper towels and season both sides with sea salt and black pepper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, olive oil, Dijon mustard, and garlic powder.
  3. Add the salmon to the mixture and coat well. Cover and marinate for at least 10 minutes or up to 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to Broil (about 500°F or 260°C) towards the end of the marinating time. Re-coat the salmon in the marinade just before broiling.
  5. Place the salmon in a baking dish, ensuring there is space between the fillets.
  6. Brush any remaining glaze from the bowl over the fillets.
  7. Broil the salmon for 5-7 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 135-140°F (57-60°C) and flakes easily.

Notes

For best results, marinate the salmon for up to 1 hour to enhance flavor.
Ensure the salmon is spaced out in the baking dish for even cooking.
Keep an eye on the broiling process to prevent burning.
