Ingredients
Scale
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 1 ½ cups ice-cold water
- 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 11 ounces vanilla wafers
- 5 ripe bananas sliced
Instructions
- Whisk together sweetened condensed milk and ice-cold water in a medium bowl until combined.
- Add instant vanilla pudding mix and whisk for about 2 minutes until smooth; cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- In a large bowl, whip heavy cream on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form, about 3-4 minutes.
- Gently fold whipped cream into the chilled pudding mixture in three additions until no streaks remain.
- In a trifle dish, layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding mixture. Spread pudding evenly to cover layers.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with pudding on top. Reserve a few wafers for garnish.
- Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Before serving, garnish with reserved wafers or banana slices.
Notes
For best results, refrigerate the pudding overnight to enhance the flavor.
Use ripe bananas for a sweeter taste and better texture.
Feel free to customize with additional toppings like chocolate shavings or whipped cream.
