- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated white sugar

- ¾ cup raisins
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup canola or vegetable oil
- ½ cup granulated white sugar
- 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350℉ and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by spraying the bottom.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, 1 cup of granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt. Once mixed, fold in the raisins.
- Add the buttermilk, large egg, and canola oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined and all ingredients are moistened.
Notes
Adjust the sugar based on your sweetness preference.
For a richer flavor, add a bit more cinnamon.
Storing the bread in an airtight container will keep it fresh longer.
