Ingredients
Scale
- 8 Medium Chicken Thighs
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ½ teaspoon Chili Powder
- ½ teaspoon Paprika
- ¼ teaspoon Dried Oregano
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- In a small bowl, whisk together salt, cayenne pepper, black pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, paprika, and oregano to create the seasoning blend.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels, ensuring they are moisture-free for crispy skin.
- Drizzle avocado oil over the chicken thighs and rub it into both sides.
- Generously sprinkle the seasoning on the top and bottom of each thigh, and lift the skin slightly to add some seasoning underneath as well.
- Arrange the thighs skin-side up on a half sheet metal pan. Use aluminum foil for easier cleanup if desired.
- Bake for 40 minutes, until the skin is golden and crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 175°F at the thickest part of the thigh. Avoid basting with pan juices.
- Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Ensure the chicken is thoroughly dried; moisture will prevent crispiness.
Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature accurately.
Feel free to adjust spice levels to your preference.
