Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 8 strips bacon cooked and chopped
  • 2 eggs whisked
  • 1 cup Italian Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ cup yellow onion chopped
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • ⅔ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons prepared yellow mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a loaf pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together all meatloaf ingredients until well combined, but avoid overmixing.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture to the loaf pan and pat it down into an even layer.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the sauce ingredients and mix well. Spread the sauce over the meat mixture in the loaf pan.
  5. Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Ensure the bacon is cooked until crispy to enhance the flavor of the meatloaf.
Using shredded cheese helps it melt evenly throughout the meatloaf.
Letting the meatloaf rest before slicing helps maintain its shape.
